Original c.1900–1915 Industrial Logging & Railroad Occupational Photograph
Historical Highlights:
* Louisville & Nashville Railroad Connection: The right side of the image features a classic wood-sheathed, steel-frame boxcar prominently displaying the sharp, readable reporting marks "L&N 19374".
* The Crew & Tools: The image features nine yardsmen in period attire (slouch hats, flat caps, waistcoats, and suspenders). Two central workers are holding large timber peaveys / cant hooks used for manually rolling the massive logs.
* Format: This is a true 8" x 10" original print (not a modern reproduction) mounted directly onto its original heavy, dark charcoal-black cardboard studio mat.
Dimensions:
* Photo Image Size: 8" x 10"
* Total Size (including cardboard mat): Approx. 10" x 12" inches (please double-check outside edges).
Condition:
The photograph is in good antique condition with excellent contrast, rich tones, and fantastic facial detail. There is some light age-related spotting (foxing) visible in the upper sky region, consistent with a photograph of this age. The black cardboard mount shows minor edge wear and chipping at the corners, adding to its authentic vintage character. The reverse side of the mount is completely blank.
